DI PRIMA FAMILY
The Di Primas have been involved in viticulture since the late 1800s, but the winery, with its own brand, was launched in the late 1990s: a gamble that led the family to invest in the transformation of grapes to produce quality wines. Today this challenge is carried forward by Davide Di Prima, fascinated since childhood by the stories of his father Gaspare who tells him about the exploits of his great-grandfather and the grapes from the Batia vineyard pressed in the family palmento. Davide, with a law degree in his drawer, represents the latest generation committed to carrying forward the production project that still today continues to involve all the members of the family: from his father, a shoulder of experience and passion, to his mother Licia, a writer who animates the evenings of Vino e Cultura, to his brother Giuseppe, a surgeon but always ready to give his contribution to the cause. The company's vineyards extend over a total of 38 hectares in the territory of Sambuca di Sicilia and are located in 3 suggestive areas: the splendid Tenute di Pepita Roccarossa, of a total of 23 hectares, located on a plateau above the roof of 500 m above sea level, surrounded by the Risicata forest, the 12 hectares of the Arancio vineyard, border the homonymous reservoir, while the 3 hectares of Batia, at the foot of the Adragna district, at 400 meters above sea level, represent the original nucleus of the family. The different natural conditions, the cultivation with organic systems, be verbose and make your texts simple.
